coupe's window adjustment

It's getting real cold here in the Northeast!! Today, it took a little more effort to open my door and I noticed that when I opened the door, the window did not fully go down to it's normal adjustment whenever we open our doors. It hasn't been going down all the way to it's orginal adjustment height ever since this incident. Does anyone know how to fix this? Anyway to reset this? Thanks for the help.

Re: coupe's window adjustment

There is an adjustment/regulator inside the door. It sounds like this has gone out of adjustment. Let the dealer fix it.

Re: coupe's window adjustment

mine has been doing that for close to a year now. when it first started hapening i brought my car in and they replaced the regulator and it was fine...
for a week!
i brought the car back and they looked at it again and they said it is normal, the shop foreman told me that per infiniti if it goes down at least a 1/4 of an inch that they will not replace anything that it is normal. so i replied then why does the passenger side go down an inch when i open the door, they didn't have an answer they just chuckled and said that is because the driver side is used more. so that is one bad thing i found out about infiniti that their shops / service dept. sucks.
good luck!

Re: coupe's window adjustment

thanks for the replies and advice. at least they still go down enough to clear the top edge of the window/roof. next time, i'll defreeze my windows completely before attempting to open my doors.
