I went in for 1st oil change today. Car has 2090 miles on it.

1. My service dept. told me Hyper ground kits will void the warranty. They said ANYTHING I do on my own underneath the hood or chassis WILL void the warranty.

A--holes!!! I am not a racer. I am not looking to do many things. I just want to hyperground the car since Ive read so many excellent reviews about it.

2. Told them my driver side wiper was streaking. They replaced it no charge.

3. I had my own splash guards which I purchased online and had them install it today at the dealer. Charged me 60. No problem.

I specifically asked them to apply the guards on AFTER they washed the car so as not to have any salt and dust trapped between the car body and splash guards. I hear an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure ya kno. They applied them without washing my car first.

4. I am not too crazy about the car wash they use. My left front wheel is scratched miserably but I am not sure if it was me or them so I left that alone.

5. My salesman who made the appointment for me for the service today promised me a loaner car. The service guy refused to honor this. He told me he would have me in and out but I spent 3 hours of my day there.

By the way my dealer is Kings Infiniti in Brooklyn, NYC.

Re: Went in for 1st oil change
Find another dealer. It is against the law to void your warranty like that based on the Magnuson Moss Act.

While you are at it make sure that they added enough oil too. Where I get mine done they haven't been putting enough in mine where I get mine serviced and we haven't talked yet but we will.

Re: Went in for 1st oil change
oh yeah, that dealer would never get another visit from me again, ever. I bet putting clear corner lenses would void the whole warranty too then

Re: Went in for 1st oil change
Hmmm. The dealer here sells GroundingGear in their parts department and installs these in their service department. That is one mod-unfriendly dealer you went to.

Re: Went in for 1st oil change
I manufacture and distribute GroundingGear™ for several of the Import New Car Dealerships including Infiniti/Nissan, VW/Audi, Honda/Acura, Subaru, Lexus/Toyota. It may be because I assess and custom do each car to find the most effective and safe grounding points, but all of these dealerships sell and install GroundingGear™ and have no problems concerning warranty work.

You can tell your Infiniti dealer that Ericksen Infiniti Nissan Ltd does this with no problem or have them e-mail their service dept at service@ericksennissan.com to confirm. They can confirm with Ross Genovy who has a set in his BMW or Carl W. who has been recommending GroundingGear™ to his friends and customers. It's actually the GM, Rick Schumacher, that got me into this in the first place as a business!

Re: Went in for 1st oil change
If I ever do take my car to a dealer again (only if something breaks), I will tell them specifically to NOT wash it. That's all I need is some minimum wage guy grinding dirt into my paint.

Re: Went in for 1st oil change
Kings Infiniti is terrible man. I would never buy a car from them. But you know what as I stated in my last post, we have some real issues with the freakin service that Infiniti provides. I mean not everyone but I mean a lot of us. Also I m noticing another New Yorker with another complaint. Sorry to hear about it man, just had a terrible experience with my dealer also
