It looks like Infiniti has some work to do. This is a G35 enthusiast site, and Infiniti has captured < 1/3 of the vote.

Oh yeah... I voted for a [chipped] 335. And I'm a two G35 family.

I voted 335i coupe. But i didn't see m3 option until after i voted. I'd go M3 or
Lexus ISF need to drive the ISF first though don't like auto sports sedans.

I was in the same boat. I got my M3 last year and I just sold my G not too long ago. It's a different beast. It's my first German car and I am VERY VERY impressed.

The new 08 M3 will be a LOT more than 45K. Probably closer to 80K+ OTD when it first comes out.

My vote is still for the M3 though but I may be biased. =)

I was considering the 3 series Coupe before purchasing my G35 Coupe, but all I saw were women driving them. I bought the G35. Next time, I probably will consider the G35 Sedan. I had too many horror stories with European cars and BMW to ever consider another electrical nightmare.

well, since the op set the price at around $40k to $45k then what's the point of disucssing about the new M3? Porches? ... please tell me how you guys going to get one of those in that price range?

back to the topic though.. for that price range, i would go either 335i coupe or G37. i've driven the 335i and is very impressed. have to wait till the G37 to come out to make my final decision on which car i like better. i'm not really in the market rightnow but will when G37 comes out. i'll have some good long thinkins to do, then who knows.. prob jump into a G37 or a 335i.

however, what im kinda interested to find out is when a 350Z will get fitted with the 3.7L engine? (370Z)?.. think about it, that be soo mad azz.
everyone is complaining about the weight of the G (and i am too).. even with a new, more powerful engine.. the overall weight went up even more. can you imagine having that engine in a 3200-3300lb Z instead of a HEAVY pigg G that weighs in close to 3700lb? man, that 370Z would be raping the E46 M3 and 335i..

i can't wait to see all the cars coming out in the next year or two.

You won't catch me buying a twin turbo first model BMW anytime soon.

You pay for the car and then for the turbos once they go one after the other.....

I know a BMW service rep. and he said they have been seeing a lot of failures with this engine already.
