Financing Trouble

Re: Financing Trouble
For what is worth, I sold cars for 10 years. (and that was 10 years ago) When people had credit problems, the more downpayment they could put down the better it looked to the banks because you have a substantial investment in the car and it lowered the risk.
I would highly recommend not having your credit report run by alot of different banks as it looks bad to see a bunch of credit inquires.
Good luck

SkidMark-
Thanks for the suggestion. I was planning on putting $6K down which I thought would be adequate. Maybe not!?
I've been told by people that as long as I do my finance shopping within the period of a month, since the credit reports don't update that quickly, those "inquiries" won't show up. Is that correct? Since the car will be here this month, I made on purpose to wait until now to look for financing.

Re: Financing Trouble
Try a credit union first especially if you belong to one. They always have the lowest rates. Banks like National City, Wells Fargo etc were quoting me 5-6% ! Went to my credit union and signed at 4%. This is the second car load I have had with them and they are always the lowest rate.
