I have contacted Infiniti consumer affairs regarding the constant popping noise from my driver's side window. The dealership has unsuccessfully tried to fix it twice. It goes in to the shop again next week for a third try. It is frustrating. Has anyone else had this problem? Infiniti consumer affairs is getting involved, they might send an engineer down to assist in the problem.

 

mine does it too, it started after the TSB was performed for the grease streaks. im going to have my dealer look at it again.

You know, now that you mentioned that, that is when I noticed mine doing it also. Even after they put in the streak kit, my windows are still streaking. How about yours?

 

my streaking on the drivers side is MUCH worse now that they installed the streak kit stuff. i have not noticed a popping of the window though. when does it happen? when rolling up or down or does it just pop randomnly?

when i had my 2003.5 coupe, i was thinking about getting the TSB too for the grease streaks, but hearing horror stories from other members, i decided to jus let it ride and low and behold the problem disappeared on it's own..

not saying it's bad to bring the car to the dealer, but if you hear some bad experiences, i would think twice bout doing the TSBs..

The popping noise happens all of the time, whether the window is up or down. It is constant. It happens on smooth and rough roads.
