Lightbulb <- newb here.

Hey Everyone I just picked up a G35 coupe, I am nothing more than amazed by the car. I was wondering what do you think should be the first Mod.? I am going to get a ztube for sure so that is a no brainer. But there are some things to consider... I dont want a full intake because what if I go FI, then i wasted my money.. I am really not sure where to start....

welcome and congrats.I too just got a g a little over a month ago. Here's what I think is good for starters. First and formest...wheels! I just bought a set of racing harts that should be arriving next week. Ok so wheels, clear corners, 350Z H-Techs to drop it a little, Z-Tube, Pop Charger, 5/16th spacer.

I think thats really good for starters. Since the car already has nice speed and a great sounding stock exhaust, my immidiate wants were wheels and lowering spring.

I want wheels soo bad, but i cannot make up my mind, I want something that has a really really deep chrome lip something like 5 inches in the back but idont know if that is poissble to fit. I have seen some really nice three peice wheels, but they are 5 grand (not going to happen).

There are many wheels to choose from but as you have discovered they get freakin pricey! As far as 5" lip, Im not sure that would be flush with the fender. Many of the wheels that are for the G are available with a 4" lip which look sick. Axis makes good wheels at an affordable price. If you are planning to go FI soon then I wouldn't do much in the engine compartment. But if you think wheels are expensive way to you see the prices on FI!!@#!@#!@. I'm going a different route (NAWZ!!!). But, regardless enjoy your ride.
