Yeah, $110/hr for labor at my local Infiniti dealer. I'll take it to Nissan instead. I'm at like 28.5k miles on my 05 right now.

How important is getting the radiator and differential flushed? I'm clueless.

pretty important or else crap starts bulding up and if you never do it eventually it'll/if it'll block the passages of the radiator and ur car over heats blahblah blah ...

just do it.. most of the stuff you can do yourself.. if you'll change your coolant every 10-20k then u wouldnt need a flush at all.. same with trans just keep it up

differential/trans i do every 5k to my own car.. why would u wait 30k to change ur engine oil? if u can answer that without saying "i wouldnt" then please reply.. if not then u've answered ur own question about changing trans oil&filter and rear diff..

trans fluid (+gasket and filter if ur at)
rear diff w/friction modifyer
Oil Chnage
Coolant Change
AirFilter
InCab Filter
lube/clean sunroof rails

stuff like that can all be done on floor jacks at home

just to see the difference, i just called my local Nissan Dealer, they told me they can do everything BUT the in-cabin filter for $440 and throw in a rental.

The dealership is also closer to my house.

I'm still taking it to my local guy to do it for $300.
I would do it myself, but i live in an apartment and i really have nowhere to jack my car up and start draining stuff out of it.

np, if not then try Nissan dealers.. their rate per hour is lower then infiniti and the same parts are used (350z/maxima)

I would personally stay away from lube places mainly because i know the type of people they hire and because of the vast verity of cars they really do not know what to do =\ over 50% of the "techs" there are out of/in high school with a year in HIGH SCHOOL auto

Klumzyee is right..........

Going to a Nissan dealership will save you major dollars plus there's things
that you can DIY. Do you need an oil change......clean the railings on the
sunroof yourself (WD40). The main thing at this mileage is the diff/tranny
service. (example) I asked the service manager at Infiniti what the tranny
service would cost.....$300. Two blocks away Nissan quoted me $150 using
the required fluids. A week later I asked the parts manager at Infiniti why
the cost diffrence and he said "We use higher quality fluids!" I should have
asked him if I had "Stupid" written on my forehead. I will get my service done
at Nissan just because I don't like Infiniti's attitude....screw'em!

+1, I'm going to go down the same path. Good thread, thanks for the advice thus far.

I'm going to flush the radiator and change the oil myself this time, with the help of a friend.

you serious, where at?

as for the Lube places, how hard is it really to pull a drain plug, swap the oil filter, put the drain plug back in, take the big screw cap marked "Oil" on the top of the engine off, put ~5 quarts of oil in, and put the screw cap back on? I'd do it myself but like I said, I live in an apartment and I just don't want to deal with the hassle of used oil and all the other stuff i need to swap out.

my car's in the shop right now, getting the driver's seat rails replaced per that TSB that's out regarding the creak that occurs in pretty much everyone's ride. They asked me if i wanted to get my 30k service done, I told them I'd wait till next month since I still had about a thousand miles left before I hit 30.
