What's with those vertical lens?

You know the one's I'm talking about. Those vertical lens outboard of the high/low beam lens.

Do they serve any purpose other than a "Light Show"?

If they are just for show, I'd think that the entire vertical lens would be illuminated rather than just the upper 1/3 of the lens.

Any thought/opinions?

Re: What's with those vertical lens?

Simply a styling statement. Looks better than the 'clearance light' on the sedan.

Re: What's with those vertical lens?

I think he's referring to the 'clearance' or 'park' light strip on the outer edge of the headlamp housing (running vertically).

I'm kinda interested with it's purpose also. I'd like to brighten it up a little too. Let me know what you find out...

Re: What's with those vertical lens?

The top is your normal high/low beams. The orange one is the turn signal. The one next to it is the foglight.

What exactly are you asking?

Dubiux, they're talking about the light arrangement on the Coupe, that has a thin white light strip running on the outside of the headlight housings.

Re: What's with those vertical lens?

It's just a standard 168 wedge bulb. Here are pics with a hyper white bulb paintballbit@h did:

I will be putting in a plasma blue in mine once the weather gets better.

Re: What's with those vertical lens?

Nice! That's more like it! The stock bulb is so weak that I never noticed this "style element" until just a few days ago. I had to wait until night before I could "see" the effect. Very weak compared to what you have.

But what is a "hyper white bulb paintballbit@h" and where does one find a couple?

If you do put in some "plasma blue" bulbs, hows about posting some night pics of that setup.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!
"But what is a "hyper white bulb paintballbit@h" and where does one find a couple?"
hahahaha...
he meant... the color of the bulb was 'hyper white' then he mentioned he wanted to get 'plasma blue'

paintballbit@h is some cocky fool that often posts on these forums (hahahaha im just playin pbb)

Hyper white is brighter and more whitish during the day and more bluish at night than the plasma is. Also usually a little bit more expensive

Re: What's with those vertical lens?

Install time is a halfhour per side if you know what you are doing. Otherwise I would say an hour for each side.

Rambo, are you sure about hyper whites being more blue than plasmas??

These are the exact bulbs that Paintball got http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1873336100
