You all need to remember that the driver makes the difference in this kind of race. IMO the stats of what a car can do under test conditions isn't going to make it better than another is this kind of race. When your running 120-130 on open highway, changing lanes and getting after each other, its the driver with more ***** and wants the win more, that is going to take the lead.

On this day, at that time, the G35 coupe had more ***** and pulled by 10.......end of story!

 

Oh this is an old thread, i was keep thinking about the new e90 *330i*, and talk about a zhp coming out. i was like .. its already out for the older models, not for the new e90.

But anyways i did 2 runs with my friends e90 330i Auto against my 2005 G35c Auto. We were bumper to bumper until 100mph when i started pulling 1-2 car lenghts in front of him until we ran out of room. Both runs had the same result. In the end the G is faster then the 330i , when its stock vs stock. the interior of the 330i is classy, 10x better then the g35, but its slower. so you get your balance.
