De-badging...what about re-badging?

I have just purchased an IP 2006 G35 coupe 6MT with 12,000 miles on it. Needless to say, I'm excited as hell, and when I have the car in hand I promise to take some pictures. The previous owner de-badged the Infiniti brand name and G35 model designation from the trunk lid. I know most people like the look, but I much prefer having both the Infiniti name and G35 model on the lid. Is there any way to buy the pieces and have them installed? Thanks.

option 1: visit your local dealer and have them re-badge it properly

option 2: visit infititi dealer and buy the badges then go to a panel beater / paintshop to get the badges put on by a professional

i wouldn't trust myself to put it on 100% straight personally and i'd always know if it were even slightly off-centre

Go and buy the badges from the parts dept. Put it on yourself. The letters are not put on individually but the whole word as a whole. There's no guarantee that a shop can put it on better than yourself.

Congrats on your purchase!
I would keep the trunk as it is, it looks nice. Or just put an "INFINITI" badge back on. Either way, do it yourself, it will be more fun that way and you save money instead of letting your dealer do it. Use masking tape to make a straight line across your trunk lid and stick the letters on that way.

buy the emblems / letters online and put them on yourself. its so easy even i could do it

....but, if you want a faster car, put SKYLINE and 350 GT on instead and you'll get 30 extra HP. I guarantee it.

Try living without them for a while. I had taken some Skyline/350GT badges off of mine because the Skyline wasn't straight and left the Infiniti symbol by itself. I think it looks pretty clean that way. Easier to clean around too.

yes this is true, for some myesterious reason, when I put the skyline and 350gt emblems on, my car is more responsive and a second faster at the 1/4 mile track. I think the ancient japanese jdm spirits where in the eblems.

I found some Infiniti badges online, but the descriptions do not say if they come with adhesive. If not, what would I use to install the badges?

i've been looking for the foam applicator to re-install the "infiniti" letters for awhile, so good luck...but definately DON'T use superglue, 3m double-sided tape is your friend

The car looks absolutely retarded without emblems. I say you should go to the dealer and tell them about your situation.

Do not super glue, and it doesnt look bad without the emblems. Im putting the "mount fuji" back on by itself and am think professional strength adhesive tape should work in very small pieces/strips.

if you're rebadging it yourself, make sure you get the spelling correct.
I remember few years ago, my friend had her Maxima trunk replaced from an accident and the shop put the emblems "M A X I A M".
