I was wondering at which mileage are you supposed to have the timing belt changed?

 

We don't have timing belts...We have a chain now...Unless the chain makes noise at high mileage like over 100K then we don't replace it until it does...They will replace the chain and the guides...So, you won't have to worry about belt breaking...

 

lol you should replace your belts around 80k.. your timing chain should be good til 100k

 

Ok cool. So how much does the dealership usually charge for a serpentine belt replacement?

 

It's an easy DIY. Not sure what they charge but I'm sure it is way too much.

 

50 for the belt....100 to install = $150..just had it done not long ago
