Re: Fun project completed this past weekend!

Can anyone confirm the bulb size/type for the Front Turn Signals?

(somebody in another thread said they were of type 7440 which are just a little larger than the Wedge 168 that goes in our side markers)

and is the factory bulb orange also or just clear?

The orignal bulb was a 744x White bulb behind the orange lens. I replaced the orange lens with a clear one. I also got a pair of 744x orange bulbs and coated them silver. That's why you don't see any orange, but when they blink, they blink orange ;-)

I'm sure everyone is interested but who is going to put it in? If that was the case, I would black-out my housing and clear out the turn signal all at once.

Re: Fun project completed this past weekend!

can you buy that clear ceiling plastic tile at like home depot and cut it out ourselves with like a dremel? how did you put this plastic piece in? just glue it or what? looks very nice... i would like to do this, but can you post a detailed DIY with pics, which i doubt you can anymore since you guys already installed em... theres already a DIY guide, but its not detailed at all, no pictures, and plus no instructions on how to even remove the bumper to access the headlights...

would really appreciate it a DIY guide... but awesome job! how thick is that orange lense? i heard somebody said it was like 1 inch thick...
