I bought my new 2004 coupe in Chicago for about 3 months but will be moving to CA in March. I heard that all cars in CA have some kind of special "chip" install to reduce the smog. Will my coupe be OK when I move there or do I need to install that same "chip" in order to pass the CA smog check? Thanks guys

I shipped my 2003 coupe from Chicago to SF this past July. Under the hood there should be a metal label that says 50 state compliant (or something to that effect).
