Key Programming

Are the instructions for programming a new key and fob the same? Or does the key have a different set of directions? Thanks.

Programming FOB = DIY section
Programming key = dealer only thing. Unless you can find an independant key maker to do it. But I doubt it.

Yeah and bring your wallet...I got charged $85 to get my keyes reprogrammed (they told me they have to do both if they don't know the code)...took about an hour.
