Anyone know the detail on why the MSRP went up 45 dollars... i know its only 45 dollars on a 35,000 dollar car, but thats one week or 2 weeks of gas. 45 bucks = ) i dunno im just curious why the price changed like midseason. its not even 2004.5 or something. its still 2004 car.

 

I'm not sure to which increase you are referring. There was an increase in the base price of the 2003 Coupe to the 2004. But that wasn't $45, it was $250! - A few more lunches and gas.
For a car that is so oversubscribed, I think we are lucky that they didn't get greedy (and suicidal) and up it by $5000.

 

yeah i know from 2003 it went up... but when i ordered my car in november the msrp for the car and options i want was 35795. Now the new MSRP is 35840. Since november everynow and then i would just build and locate and it would come up to 35795. Then about 2 days ago i was building and locating for reference for my friend it was still 35795. Then today my friend from virginia bought a brand new g35, so i built and locate again and the price has changed to 35840.

 

I ordered my 04 in July 03 before the 04 pricing was out. The original lease price quoted from the dealer was approx. 640 per month (0 out of pocket) - when I picked up my car in Nov 03 - the lease price droped by over $40 per month. The MSRP was unchanged

it might have dropped because of 1. a higher estimated residual value or 2. lower interest

I heard that the destination charge has increased... that might be it.

 

Another reason I bought mine from a private party. Was tired of all the dealer BS and markups.
