Thanks for the help!
However I am definitely staying away from salvaged vehicles, since some clean 04's if not 03's are within my budget.
Also Kalikiddo, how much were you able to negotiate down from their initial price? I'm looking for a very similar vehicle (04 OB/IP/TB w <60k miles) so I'm curious.
Do people have alot of luck with newspapers/printed ads?

Well the day I got mine I was at another dealership and they wanted 23k for an 03 with 40k miles on it...They only wanted to go down like 200 or 300 bucks. So I walked out the door and went literally around the a corner and thats where I found the 04 he wanted 22k ended up at 20,500...So I took it and later that night the first dealership I went to called me to work something out and I just told them they were a little late with there offer. Even though I wanted a DG color ended up with TB but I like the blue now....its not that common as the other colors.

If you look hard enough you will find something that cheap. Not that miles mean much but if you want to get up there in miles do it....I personally had to find a CB with Black interior so there were stipulations to my purchase

haha...girls back there are usually 5'1".
hmmm, coupe right? i'm 6'3 and find the rear seats pretty comfortable (passenger side at least, the front seat is forward, my gf is 5'3), course, it's a sedan, not a coupe.
given the rarity of the coupes (and elevated price), a sedan isn't a bad option.
i paid 23k Cad for my '03 with less than 20k miles (32k km). can't find a coupe for less than 27k, and i only saw one MT sedan, but had insane mileage.
good luck,

Thanks for all the replies, and i guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens the day I go in.
However since it is a used car I'm wondering how I'd be able to do a "check-up" on the car before I actually purchase it. Sure I can do basic test-drive checks, but I wanted a mechanic to look at it before. Any way I can do this?

If you get the late model 2003 (2003.5) you are basically getting the same thing as the '04s
You have to ask the seller if they will let you do a PPI (pre purchase inspection) at the shop of your choice (or an agreed on one). This is pretty common.

So the problems with the 2003 were pretty much fixed with the 2003.5's (or werent any better for the 2004's) ?
How does the PPI work specifically? (Do I "borrow" the car for a day to get it inspected, does the dealer/seller go WITH me, etc)

I've got an '03 in Excellent Condition for you!
Just listed it on Craigslist OC for $19,999. A little more miles than you wanted but still an incredible deal. If I don't need to do any more marketing I'll sell it for $19K.
Check it out at:

Let me know if you would like more pics or if you'd like to check it out in person.......
