New clock spring??
Who changed the clock spring for U? May just need an adjustment of the steering angle sensor to neutral position, but, it does require the use of a Consult II. Also, plug for the SAS may be loose or disconnected.
Didn't want to resurrect and old thread but read about 10+ threads about clock springs (spiral cable) replacements and it's not stated enough... But, if you replace your clock spring be very careful removing and re-installing the steering angle sensor (SAS). Install it exactly the way without rotating it. If you rotate the SAS (which most people wind up doing, has 180degree notches) then your SLIPand VDC-OFF lamps will illuminate. Most threads to say goto Nissan/Infiniti and re-calibrate it. Which is one answer but will cost about $100. I was too cheap and recall struggling with installing the SAS which I might have rotated it a little.
I ripped of the steering wheel and re-oriented the SAS by 180 increments and finally found my zero point. Lights never came back on.
My observations is when all 4 wheels register same speed (in Forward gear), 1-5mph the computer checks the SAS. If SAS says 0 +/- 2.5 (recalling a prior thread), then no SLIP and VDC-OFF lamps. If the angle is way off, the lamp kicks in at about 1mph. If a little off at about 5mps. I used this to know if I was getting warmer/colder. Anyhow took about 5 tries but saved $100.

What is the part number for this clock spring (clock spring)?
I've searched this forum and the Internet... I can't get a clear answer. Specifically I'm looking for a 06/07 G35 coupe.
Thx
