Lower Door Strips are a warranty issue
UPDATE: This is a TSB issue confirmed by Irving the Service Manager at Infiniti of Elk Grove. I asked and asked for the TSB number but he says he doesn't have it. He said "Just have your buddies take it to any Infiniti dealer and they will be replaced"
Here is a pic of the strip in question.
The strips that hang on the bottom of the door and often peel out causing little strips to hang off and make it look like you have feeler rods sticking out of your door.
Basically its covered in a TSB. My service manager swore he had never heard of this before. Sure enough, I asked him to look it up and he was suprised. The strips are on order and they'll be replaced when I go to get my tranny fixed.
FYI My transmission wouldn't go into reverse 3 out of 5 times. It would just grind and make it seem like I'm dumb.
There might be info on this floating around but I wanted to put it out in the open for you guys.

thats funny because on my driver side door, the strip right under the door by the edge is always popping out making it look very noticable and ugly. i keep pushing it back in as it always falls out of place but if this is a TSB, i will definately get this checked out.

my strip on drivers side was hanging off and definitley made the car look like **** (IP)...when I went to have service done, they replaced it for free...I thought he was being nice....but know now that it was TSB...some nice guy...they are color matched already and just stick on...thought I noticed the new one was different..more flexible and a little longer...but looks ok...better than broken..
You can find all Infiniti TSBs as well as service manuals for your year G35 coupe or any other Infinit at Infinitihelp.com. I just joined for a year for a very small amout of $ and downloaded all for my 07 coupe. This is a great resource. However I just checked and did not find a number there for this.
