You ahve got a great setup - and I am not knocking your car at all - I love it. But, are you sure that that cubby dor is SUPER stable durign the runs. That can introduce a lot of irregularity to the readings. That's why you have to mount those things on the windshield (which is of course stable). Did you confirm those numbers at the track? What kindof quarter mile readings do you get.
That's an awesome ride.

To my Sceptic G35driver's. I can see how some of you guys might doubt these numbers, but as I mentioned earlier in this post, the G-Timer is Pretty consistant with the times I did at the track. The last two trips to Commerce Drag Strip (about 45 miles North of Atlanta), I used this G-Timer. The First time CHOPS and I went, we both had our G-Timers Mounted on the windshields of our G35c's. The Second time we went to the same drag strip. I had the G-Timer installed as you see it in the pic at the top of the page, on the Cubby-Lid on top of the Center dash cluster.
I too wondered if the new location would effect the accuracy of the G-Timer. (One note: if the passport G-Timer is not mounted in a stable position it WILL NOT CALIBRATE , if it moves too much during spirited driving, it will Lose Calibration) But I got the SAME RESULTS on Both trips to the same Drag strip with the G-Timer MOUNTED in the two different locations. Almost always within one or two tenths from the track time slips.
Even IF the Passport G-Timer was way off in the 1/4 Mile compared to the Track Time slips, and it Wasn't. It is consistant within itself. Thats why I bought the G-Timer to track performance gains through the various Mods I do to the car, to make sure I'm going in the right direction.
Like improving my 0-60 times by a 1/2 a second. That's a real gain in performance that I could see on the G-Timer & the "Butt Dyno" That's what's exciting. And That's what I wanted to share in this Post...

How much did those mods cost you in total? Sounds like it'd be cheaper to go your route, as opposed to getting a GReady turbo.

TYGWOFN.....
Down MARVIN, I'll get this one... Excuse my Co-Driver, he gets P.O.ed easily, he also likes to wear my helmet...
To anwser your question: "What did you do, start your stopwatch 2 seconds into the run?".
The G-Timer doesn't start it's timing sequence, until the car Starts!
"CHOPS" is bringing his G-Timer to the Georgia"Z"(G) Club meet tonight at Hooters, so I'll have Two G-Timers in the car to compare. I'll let you know the outcome...Also the Drag Strip opens 1st part of March & I'll post those Numbers too...
Thanks Guys!!!

urban & SkylineGT.....
I haven't been to the Drag Strip since I've done the bulk of my performance mods. I only had the STILLEN EXHAUST, INJEN CAI & HYPER GROUND KIT the last time I went & I was turning 14.5's@ 98+mph w/ OEM Tires. That was with a "Traffic Light"(slow) launch. Otherwise I would spin the tires through 1st & part of 2nd Gear. Track conditions were Terrible. ZO-6 Vettes were turning low to mid 13 second E.T.'s.(they are generally, 12 second cars)
Since then I"ve added the: CRAWFORD Z PLENUM / R.T.HIGH FLOW CATS / NISMO R-TUNE Lightweight FLYWHEEL / NISMO R-TUNE Clutch & Pressure Plate / ROGUE ENGINEERING SHORT SHIFTER / NISMO/RAYS Lightweight LMGT-4 Wheels(19x8.5 Fronts- 19x9.5 Rears)
/ BRIDGESTONE SO-3's (245-35's Front- 275-35's Rear) /TECHNOSQUARE ECU Reflash. Hopefully this will put me into the 13's...
Needless to say I can't wait to try my new mods out at the Strip when it opens in March...

I've heard you have to actually weigh your car and enter the info to make it accurate for the times. Did you weigh your car, or did you just enter the spec weight from Infiniti?
Thanks

No, the vehicle weight is only for 'calculating' the approximate horsepower; it has nothing to do with times or top speed.
So how accurate is the weight quoted by Infiniti? Do they do this with a full tank or half? Should you also add in the weight of the driver?
Thanks
