?04 G35?

I have a question guys..I see quiet often that there are couple of 04's with the oil consumption problems most like the 05+ The g35 i want to purchase is a 04 and even though they are giving me a good deal i still dont feel like forking out 22k out the window....my question is before i sign up the papers is there anyway i can make sure that the 04 g35 im going to purchase is oil consumption problem free?? I have already contacted the dealer where the car was purchased and it came out with a clean record.....i have gotten someone to get on the car to see if i can see any smoke coming out and no smoke was visible .....I just really dont want to pay all this money and find out a thousand mile later that this is car oil consumption problems.....the nearest Infiniti dealer to me is 1 1/2 away....please give me your thoughts and suggestions. Thank you I appreciate it.

im thinking with the miles the car has you will not have it and + its a non revup so you should not worry

so your saying since the G35 I want already has 33k miles so far, its probably fine? Does this problem occur early in on like around 5k miles? Or is it something that could start after 30k miles?

yes you should be fine if you have 33k miles! you have a non revup motor and its an 04 they didnt have this problem with 03-04 just 05-07 6MT revup motors

An oil consumption problem would be the best case scenario. Then you'd have 33k miles, and a new motor.

Hi ya Turk..........

So, you still haven't made up your mind. The car you're looking at has a clean
bill of health.....right? If you have any doubts (apparently you do) buy an
extended warranty from Infiniti......make sure it's a Infiniti warranty no one else! Come on Turk, jump in the water........life is great here!

The complete manufacturer (Infiniti) warranty transfers automatically. No worries unless the prior owner didn't do the periodic maintenance on the car. However, any Infiniti dealer could tell you if you provide him the Serial Number. You should also have if inspected to confirm that the car has not been into a significant accident.

ok great...i just didn't know that the warranty transferred fully to the 2nd owner...i feel much better now...but what about the fact that the warranty covers 3years 60k miles......the G being a 04 and us being in 07 isnt that avoiding my 3/60 warranty? is this bumper to bumper? what about the drivetrain? thanks
