Seems underpriced, if it's a coupe. Get a carfax and check out mechanically very thoroughly.
Make sure it's not damaged from a prior accident, a flood car from Katrina, stolen, etc.
With this mileage, it would be good for an '03. I bought my loaded 6mt G35 coupe, everything but navi 4-5 months ago for $25K with 12,300 miles, now 18,700 miles, and that was a good deal.

Buyer beware!

everything appears to be in good order, this one is an auto (wife wants to drive it and she cant do a MT) runs great, it is a coupe, and possibly it may have something to do with regional price differences. ive read something about a problem with oil consumption, is that a problem with all or is it year specific?

First of all, it's really more like $20k than 19k. It sounds more reasonable but just a grand or two below what we normally see. Didn't see anywhere the VIN so I'd definitely call in and ask for it. There are members on this forum who have access to carfax and will run a report for free, just post and ask.

There have been a few known problems with the 04' AT coupes but nothing too major as seen in the 03' models. Fuel hose, window regulator, radio (cd player), etc. Hopefully those issues have already been resolved by the original owner. You can view recalls and TSB's for all G35 models HERE.

Good luck with the purchase. Try low balling them to $19k if everything comes back clean.

a lil update, i ran a car fax and it checks out with a clear title for louisiana (where i am) but there were some instances where it said service was denied by dealer. and so i contacted my local dealership to run the vin, and they told me that it had a new louisiana title, but had a previous mississippi title that was salvage, the car had been flooded out during katrina. so billg you were right.

Seriously. He's coming out of a Tibby. I say his worries for a G should be little to none.
