I went to Hot Import Nights last weekend and those damn G35s looked sick! Not only the highly modded G's but also the lightly modded close to stock G's. I've been on the market for a new car for about 2 months now. I started out with planning on getting the 07 STI because it's just so damn fast. But i'm 26 and I plan on leasing a car for 3 years, and I think im a little old for the STI. The G35 just seems like it suits me better. So I've been doing my research on other cars that are in the same price range as the G35. I'll take looks and luxury over performance (not that performance isn't important to me...it is....it's just that looks and luxury is more important). So I went back and forth between the G35, G35 Sedan, G37, BMW 335i (base), Audi TT 2.0, Lexus IS, Nissan Z....and in the end I keep coming back to the idea of getting the G35. 1. It's the cheapest out of all those cars mentioned (except for the Z, but IMO G35 looks better....remember looks before performance) 2. It's not a slow car...it's still got some performance...it's a whole lot faster than my RSX Type-S. 3. With the G37's coming out....im gonna get a pretty good deal on the older model.

HOWEVER, I kinda feel like im missing out on the G37. The interior is freakin sweeeeeet. The exterior to me doesn't look as good as the G35.....but i think it's just a matter of time before it grows on me. Is it me or, does the G35 have that distinct look because of the 03-07 headlights? The way they changed the G37's headlights makes it look more of an ordinary car...maybe a camry or whatever, im not sure but i know i've seen headlights similar to that before on a cheaper car. The back also seems a little too rounded for me, and its got that metal trim on the trunk if you take off the wing. Well those opinions were about a week ago. Today I saw a G37 on the road and I can tell its already growing on me. I'm so torn between the two models. My brother works for Infiniti and he says that my payments are probably going to be $200 more on the G37....which is a big difference. So I don't know what to do. I've test driven both of them, i've looked at both of them a lot...and I just don't want to make a bad decision. What do you guys think?

Also, with the G35, if I do get it, I noticed that the lowered G's look a whole lot better. I put coilovers on my RSX Type-S and man the ride was just so bad after the coilovers. What's the best way to get that lowered look with the smallest change to the way it rides? I'm thinking of lowering it 2-3 inches maybe? What's a good amount to lower it, to make it look good?

 

definetly you should buy one. i just bought mine beginning of this month. th 07 g35 coupe, you can get a great deal. i got around 4,500 off from the MRSP. good deal i think. its a great car. i'm loving the car. i was looking at the bmw and the lexus, but i seriously think its too over priced. get the G! you won't regret it!!!

 

Also i was wondering if there was any other good websites to buy g35 oem and aftermarket parts, besides everythingg35

 

when it comes to buying anything new you have to think about how much is it worth to you to have some things changed. I have an 03 G and i cant justify getting the g37, or even wanting to upgrade a few years. I figure at 24, if i buy the best what can i look forward to in the future

 

if youre going to lease, get the 37. if youre going to buy, get the 35. i bought the 35 about a month ago cuz i liked it better than the 37. wish i could swap engines, but thas in my dreams. 35 is nicer and will ALWAYS be a nice car. i was looking into bmws also, but men dont drive 3 series, women do. men drive M3's. so dont be caught driving in a 3 series or youll be a bitch. i also looked into lexus IS's, but theyre not that great looking sitting next to a G and the 6spd is only offered int he 250. buy - 35. lease - 37
