Turn the lights off, pull out key, stick it back in and turn it to the first position. More importantly, where did you find a drive-in?

i miss those drive thrus.. the last one i went to was way back in 1996. Beach and Track blvd in the OC.

It was destroyed and replaced with WalMart and Lowes.

And I cant see why you can't turn the lights off completely... Just flip the switch to off?

We have at least 2 active drive-ins here in Massachusetts as well. I haven't been to either of them in a long time, but I remember it used to be a pretty cool throwback type place to take a girl. Most women under 30 haven't been to a drive-in on a date in their entire life, so it's something new.

If you want to have your lights completely off, you need to use the little twisty **** on your blinker-stalk(Left side of the steering wheel). Turn it all the way to the OFF position. There are 3 positions... OFF, AUTO, and ON(in that order too). Yours is probably in the Auto position, so since the sensors on the dashboard sense a lack of lighting outside the car, it turns the lights on.

Your radio control backlight lights will be off though when you do this, but you will still be able to see what channel you're on in the digital display on the radio.
