Question Need your input in buying my first G35

Hello everyone,
I am planning on buying a 2004 g35 coupe, with 45,000 miles on it and in excellent condition. Its the graphite color with black interior. The CARFAX report is clean, and the Michellin Pilots are in very good shape with barely any wear. The car comes with every option in that year including the navigation system. The seller is also including an extended warranty through the dealership till about 2011/103,000 miles with a $50 deductible. Additionally, he is also throwing in 4 brand new Bridgestone Blizzack tires with 10 spoke alloys for the Minnesota Winters. Lastly, he is asking $23,000 for the car. Do you guys think its a good deal? Any input is appreciated.

I have always wanted to own a g35, and even though its a rear wheel drive car and not ideal in MN snow, I am willing to take a chance with the traction control and the Blizzacks. What do you guys think?

Checked with www.kbb.com and it said $25,500 for that car, sounds good to me. As long as you want that many miles

Well, thats what I've been debating. 45k are sure a heck of a lot of miles to buy a car at. The only thing that is still making me think about this particular car is the extended warranty for another 60k miles and the fact that I am getting the extra tires and rims for the winters. Another option I am considering is a similarly priced Red g35, and with only 24,000 miles on it. But the warranty has expired on that car, and it does not come with all the extra stuff like the previous one. I am so confused..!!

Well, what's your price range? because you can find some Coupes for sale in the marketplace on this site, some that have already been modded and some that haven't. Also checkout Autotrader or a local Infiniti Dealership.

I am shooting for a max of $25k to spend on my next car. I am considering a pre-owned TSX, a TL, and a MazdaSpeed 6. But the G is what I really want, even though the other 3 options would be better choices. I've been looking for a car for quite a while now, and have scanned carsoup.com, autotrader.com and cars.com

ttake it to a body shop and see if it was ever in a accident, becasue carfax means nothing, make him show you his service history.

I don't think it's a steal, but it's decent. Only because of the little extras he's throwing in: the tires and especially extended warranty. If it was 23k for just the 45k mi car then I would definitely say no. That extended warranty will save you a LOT of money tho, as opposed to having no warranty 45k-103k with a G. A damn lot of money. I'm guessing you're going to get to kno your local pretty well

its a good deal because of the extended warranty and winter wheels and tires are not cheap!!!

45k miles is really not that bad

try getting it down a bit maybe 21,500

Yeah, I'm just interested in the deal because of the extra goodies that are tagging along with the car. Especially the extended warranty. I too was thinking about offering the guy $21,500. If he accepts it, then I think its a real good deal, considering the condition the car is in. It practically looks brand new. I appreciate all your inputs, it has definitely given me some assurance to go ahead with the deal. I will keep you all posted about this, and hopefully become a regular in these forums if I end up getting the g. Thanks.
