JWolf Pop Charger question

Off of Grubbs Infinit, I was just wondering if we needed the Ztube for the JWolf Pop Charger or is the Pop Charger a complete kit?

I'm looking into get either that or the NISMO CAI... I know it's two totally different products but those are the two I trust. This deciding factor will be my answer to short ram or long.

Thanks again. I love G35's forums.

Re: JWolf Pop Charger question

It does not come in a package. The JWT pop charger and Z-tube are seperate. I highly recommend getting the Z-tube in addition to the Pop charger. I'm sure you know the difference vs. stock G35 piping (z-tube is less restrictive)

The Nismo CAI would also be a good choice. Shader7 did a wonderful write-up on how to install and fit it on the G35 (the Nismo CAI lists only for the 350z)

I think JWT/z-tube combo produced the most gains and I went with it.... no regrets here!

I'm gonna agree with wicked. I just installed the Z-Tube/PC combo and it's great. Looks cool, sounds great, and there is some definite pick up to it. Probably the best mods for the lowest price. If I were you I'd go to performancenissanparts.com and get them from Jason. Extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Here is a link for pics of my setup:

Re: JWolf Pop Charger question

I have the NISMO CAI and i'm loving it. I've had it on for a while now and i've noticed my MPG went up +2, and i'm driving the same distances at the same speed... even with the occasional punching i do to keep rice rockets in the rear view mirror...

Has anyone who installed the JWT pop charger notice any change in MPG gas consumption ?

Re: JWolf Pop Charger question

I checked everything that I possible could about that high pitched sound that you start to hear around 3,500 rpm.... At about 4,500 rpm you can't even notice it because the roar is really loud. Pretty nice. I would go with it... I am sure that it isn't a defect of any sort.

Re: JWolf Pop Charger question

I got the same hissing sound on mine. Although its minor, it was enough to push me to take the thing off completely and go with the K&N filter. The sound of the pop charger is great, but I'm going to update the exhaust anyway

Re: JWolf Pop Charger question

the hissing sound is from the extra air the filter is sucking in. since the jwt filter has a bigger area to suck in air, it makes that hissing noise.
