first thing im doing once i get back is taking the backseats and everything in the trunk out. I did the trunk before hence i dont have those plastic housings around the tire anymore because i threw them away lol luckily i put everything back else in after the auto-x that was in amarillo because over the course of the next month i blew out all 4 tires (not at the same time lol) this was because of my darn camber i have after putting on the tanabe pro's. SPC front and rear camber kit is on its way to my new apt though so no more camber for me once i get back!!!

nice man, removing all the panels in the back shouldnt be too hard right? Should be alot of popping out of clips you would think? From what ive seen on here through searching to remove the back seats there should be 2 bolts to unscrew then its just managing to pull the seats out of their "clips", which some people have trouble because they are not like arnold with all the muscles!!

Someone said that removing rear seats nets 150 pounds. But the list in one of the following posts says 36 pounds. As I transition my G coupe to a dedicated track car I'll remove the rear seats if I can net 150 pounds. Probably won't bother if its only 36 pounds.....until I cage it.

Anyway, for the doofs who don't understand why some of us want to lose weight, its for the track. And getting a Z is not the answer, the Z is a tub or lard too and requires a similar weight loss program. Yes, the G35 is a luxury car but there are a lot of old, worn out G35s out there for cheap and set up properly can make excellent track cars.

^^^ right?!?

Seems like every pound counts. Why stop there? Take out the front seat too. Less weight is always better

Removing the front seats is a great idea. The automatic, heated seats are very heavy and give poor lateral support on the track. Some lightweight racing seats would improve the weight by close to 100 pounds, give better driver support which improves lap times, and removes the weight in a place that would not upset handling.
