Finally got my ride hooked up.

Re: Finally got my ride hooked up.
This is why I dont understand why AZhitman said "Those are actually BRM units. It's a shame you didn't know about us earlier."
If you're running Nismo headers and a Fujitsubo exhaust system, how are any of those items "BRM units"?
BRM does not make anything for Fujitusbo or Nismo. In fact Nismo contracts their systems from Fujitsubo, which is one of Japans largest and most recognized manufacturer of aftermarket exhaust systems. BRM is located in FL and from what I can see, make their own exhaust systems....
So the big question, how does BRM fit into any of this?
"See, the problem is that God gives men a brain and a *****, but only enough blood to run one at a time."

Re: Finally got my ride hooked up.
Thats a real clean look, I am also thinkin about getting that Exhaust system, although with all aftermarket exhaust systems, i'm a little worried about Low-end torque, is it the same or lower or better than stock?
Lemme know

Re: Finally got my ride hooked up.
As far as I can notice low end HP/Torque have improved with the exhaust/y-pipe. I briefly had the high flow cats on as well, but the sounds was way too loud and gave me a headache even with the radio at 20.
I have specifically gotten mods that should help the low/mid end of the power spectrum, as for the most part I'm using the car for trasportation, not racing. I do on occasion plan to take it to the track for some fun, and think the mods I have choosen will give me a nice experience when I do decide to go.
The exhaust gives good power, and isn't all that loud. I highly recommend. The Fujitsubo exhaust is something you can order along with the car as part of the "tunning" package along with an earthing kit. I thought if Nissan was using them, I couldn't go wrong going the same way.
Car will have Tein Flex with EDFC installed today, i'll post more pics when I can. Maybe the rims will look bigger when the car is lowered!!

Re: Finally got my ride hooked up.
DucatiGuy - No offense (usually you're right on) but here you're a bit mistaken.
My post was hurried, as I meant to type "identical to BRM units" - my bad.
Nismo does NOT get their stuff from Fuji. as a matter of fact, their stuff isn't even made in Japan. It's made in the US, and it's made by the SAME guys in the SAME shop that welds up BRM's stuff. BRM stuff is just made in smaller quantities and I have them use TIG welds, as opposed to MIG welds, and they finish my welds more cleanly. I'm sure the Nismo guys would LOVE for you to believe otherwise, but I'm in the biz.
BRM has manufacturing plants in FL and AZ. Home office is in AZ as of 3/1/04.

Re: Finally got my ride hooked up.
I think it's widely accepted that Nismo does indeed use the Fujitsubo exhaust as their own (rebadged product). Their headers on the other hand are B&B's I believe (for the US) and fujitsubo's headers are the one they use in Jpaan (I think this is due to lhd vs. rhd)... I am not sure that this info is 100% correct but its a well known rumors on many inet forums.

Re: Finally got my ride hooked up.
AZ, I just find that hard to believe, as I've ordered NISMO parts and everything that I've ever recieved from NISMO was always in japanese, from japan. The NISMO exhaust and the Fujitsubo Legalis-R system look IDENTICAL in every which way and form (except for the tips). Here take a peek...
This is the Fujitsubo system. . .
This is the NISMO system. . .
NISMO is located in Japan so is Fujitusbo. Fujitsubo is one of Japan's largest manufacturer of aftermarket exhaust systems. It wouldn't make mush sense for NISMO to contract a relatively small exhaust company such as BRM here in the US to manufacturer their exhaust system, and if they did, they basically ripped off the Fujitsubo design. It makes more sense that the NISMO system is in actuality the Fujitsubo rebadged.
I'll call up Fujitsubo directly and find out...
