MT's for sale????????
Why so many MT's for sale in the classified section of this site? I've heard owners saying the shifting is rather notchy. Are MT owners becoming tired of the lack of smoothness in the shifting of this trans?

Re: MT's for sale
I personally don't have any notchiness with my 6MT (knock on wood). I'm totally happy with it.

Re: MT's for sale
For me, the transmission is notchy is hell when shifting from 1-2 but I don't mind it at all. It's actually kind of satisfying to hear the "click-click". The clutch is nice and stiff and shifts are very close and precise...this car is a joy to drive in MT form.

Because most people on this forum own a 6MT because of there being car enthusiast!! I'm sure if you look in your paper or auto trader you will find alot more automatics......I personally haven't had any problems with my MT.

Re: MT's for sale????????
The only thing I ever noticed was some notchiness going from 5th to 6th. Other than that, I have the slickest 2nd-3rd shifts of any car I've ever driven.

Re: MT's for sale????????
the gearbox is notchy, when compared with other cars, its all about Driver preference. I've driven non-notchy gearbox's before and felt unsatisfied when shifting. I love the notchiness on my 6MT and hope that it never goes away.
After the break-in period, you will notice that the gearbox has gotten MUCH less notchy, but it is still notchy.
