Silly question
Nothing... Luxury car manufacturers use random letters, and number that correspond to the engine to name their cars. Apparently they do no want the name of the car to overshadow the brand.
ex: Acura Legend. Great car in it's day. When it was referred to, it was referred to as the Legend. "Hey I got me a Legend.."
That name was nixed and now known as the 3.2 RL, or now just the RL.
Ghey, but that's the theory behind it......
I think.

I like it because you can instantly tell the wannabe ballers in the BMW 525, vs. the dude who's actually a baller in his 550. That's right, I judge people based on their cars.

Supposedly the models meant: CL - Cruising Legend, RL - Refined Legend, and TL - Touring Legend.
Buddy with his CL told me this a while back.

lightening fastCreativity at it's best. Just like Acura's SHAWD stands for "SUPER HANDLING" all wheel drive. Really now...

CL=I would think Coupe Legend would make more sense?
