got an '07, and just started hearing a buzzing or squeaking sound from the clock dash area. happens when i'm driving more slowly i would say. just noticed it, and just got the car about a week ago. any ideas? i think i might try to take it to infiniti when i get my first servicing done, but i dont know what they would say. when i push down against the clock dash area it seems to go away, so i dont know if it's loose or something. thanks in advance.

 

Welcome to the woes and growing pains of the "rattles".

 

Let the dealer deal with it. The flap/cover over the clock, and center guages was loose, they replaced it promptly.

 

cool, just glad to know it's nothing major to worry about. so the dealer will take care of it no problems?

 

alright just took the car to the dealership to get it fixed. the guy working on my car said it had something to do with the clips that hold the clock dash in place are rubbing or something. he said he fixed it by putting some black tape like thing to stop the rubbing. i leave the dealership, IT STILL MAKES THE SOUND. any help from people who have had similar situations would be greatly apreciated. i'm supposed to go back tomorrow so they can look at it again but it's just frustrating. help welcome. thanks.

 

I find that sometimes if you have glasses in your sunglass compartment, it makes a rattling noise also which may sound like its coming from your dash or the middle of the car somewhere. I found this the hard way and I take out my glasses because its so annoying.
