G35 COUPE Seat might be Tearing?

The driver seat on my 04 G35 coupe is looking like the outside corner where my left hip would rest is starting to get really thin. My warranty runs out in 3 weeks and I am not sure what to do? I don't want it to rip, would the dealer fix it if it does fully rip before my warranty runs out?
Please help!

Take it back to the dealer, and have the service mgr take a look at it.
I had an issue in 05 when I noticed my seat cushion leather was collapsing....The left bolster had no support, and it was wrinkled over.....
The seat made the whole interior look like crap.

When I took my car in for a routine service, I mentioned to the service writer that I was unhappy with the quality of the seat materials...He came out and when he looked at my car, He agreeded that the seat cushion should not collapse.

He ordered me a new foam cushion and a new leather seat bottom, and it was replaced out under warranty.

This seat has held up beautifully, and looks as good as the day it was installed over two years ago....

Good luck.
PS take it in while you still have warranty, a new cushion and leather seat bottom will set you back around $2,500

My seat bolster was starting to collapse so I brought it in on my very last day of factory warranty. They replaced the bolster and it now looks like new. It should last hopefully another 4 years. I only have 24k on my car.

Did you guys have to do any convincing when you told the service manager about the seat?

The reason I ask is because when I mentioned it to them, (i'm in Canada btw), they said that this part is under the "wear and tear" side of the warranty and it is only valid for the first year of your warranty.

When I brought my car in to have the cushion replaced the service writer mentioned that the collapsed cushion was quite common. It's a good idea to keep this in mind as we all know that over time it will happen again. They don't upgrade the cushion!

What do you mean they don't upgrade the cushion. Do you mean that it's not covered under warranty?

This may not be relevant, but I am starting to notice staining on my seats from blue jeans. Has any one else experienced this? I am doing my best to clean the seats with leather cleaner. Any advice?

TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER NOW! I had a similar issue and they stalled me from coming in for an appointment. When I fina;lly did get in to Ramsey Infiniti they informed me I was out of warranty (3 days) and Infiniti will do nothing. I complained to Infiniti and nothing! Absolutely nothing. I am now through with Ramsey Infiniti!

Yes I have noticed that too. Lexol cleaner seems to work the best. Unbelievable isn't it?

Maybe we should be like the Maestro on Seinfeld and remove our pants before driving?
