I want blinkers on my sideview mirrors kind of like mercedes...anyone know of updates about if this is going to happen anytime soon?

I know some people were talking about it but I dont' know if there has been any updates

2004 Ivory Pearl Sports Coupe

 

Side mirror blinkers for the coupe have been available, in Japan anyway, for about the past year. Similar in installation I think to the sedan's- they are actually covers that install over the existing side mirrors. Made by ALTIA, sells for a little over $300.

 

I have it on my sedan and it looks great. Installation is quite tedious if you want the wires to be run neatly and like stock. I'll post pics when I get a chance to take some.

Japanparts.com has them, but there for the sedan not the coupe.

 

ohhhhhh not those ghetto ones from ebay.

I mean like if you look at a clk or some of the newer mercedes they have an LED strip on the actually housing of the sideview mirrors.

Not on the mirror like that.

Those ones from japanparts.com are like the CLK and would look good except that from the pic i get the impression the mirror is much more bulkier. I would definatly have it on my "todo list" if there were replacement mirrors with the lense, instead of a mirror cover.
Maybe it will be a new feature of the '05 then we can just buy the mirrors and throw them on....we can only hope

While the mirror signal lights are cool, don't forget about the simple blinker mod you can make to the front marker light - so that it will flash with the turn signal in addition to being a side marker. (Do a search if you want the wiring information.)

yeh but i like that being hyper whited, so i don't want it to be a blinker cuz then I would have three blinkers different colors: red, white, and orange
