local and reputable shop is going to paint my grille (color matched to my car) for 50 bucks!

that's cool they r color matching...i'd do that to my car but i just have a feeling a red grill would look gay.

 

Actually, anyone with an airbrush could paint the grill. I build models with my son, and you can purchase any factory color in pre-mixed lacquer ready to shoot; no thinning or mixing.

My only question is how they plan on stripping off the chrome. I've got a G37, and I'm not a big fan of the grill. I'd like to shoot the bars dark grey and leave the Infiniti logo chrome. It's just a question of getting up the guts to try it.

Took grille to body shop today, should be back by tomorrow, i'll post pics for those of you who wanted to see it!!!

 

yay....pictures make me happy. how much did it set you back? and with or without clear coat?

 

they are gonna paint the grille color-matched to my car for 50 bucks! and they asked if i wanted it shiny and i said yea lol, and they have already done GREAT work on my mom's custom van so i know it will be good!
