BEST HEADER FOR G COUPE

I am looking for header for my G and inclining Brola and Stillen. They are almost same, same material, same contour. Dose anyone know which one of them is better.

Re: BEST HEADER FOR G COUPE

In the dyno results I've seen the Borla headers haven't made very good results. You might want to check out Crawford, Nismo or XERD headers. They all have pretty consistant gains.

6MT Coupe
NAV-TV&PS2 // JL 12W6v2, JL 500/1
Injen CAI // Borla Exhaust // Eibachs // Volk SF Challenges

Yea.. Borla doesn't seem to gain a whole lot vs. stock. Stillen is suppose to make better gains but not too sure as they are relatively pretty new. I would look into Crawford or Nismos... Xerds are OK if you want to eliminate your cats as well...

Re: BEST HEADER FOR G COUPE

Borla unfortunatly dont make as much power as the others... Would be nice with their price... but on well...

The STILLEN and NISMO headers are almost identical in construction... We have installed both and experience similar gains...

Stillen will save you a couple of hundred from the NISMO...

DONT get the Mild Steel w/ Ceramic coating unless you are planning on replacing your headers in a few years...

I'm waiting for the Injen headers to come out, last time I talked to them, they said about 3/4 months, also keep an eye out for their test pipes!

Ivory Pearl / 6MT / Aero / Premium / Xenon Lights Everywhere / Mirror Tint / Injen CAI / Injen SES Exhaust / Tanabe Racing Springs

Re: BEST HEADER FOR G COUPE

Just make sure they are equal length headers.I have BRM headers and they are exact copies of Nismo , except they are tig welded instead of mig welded...they are only $800 [stainless] compared to over a $1000 for the Nismo .Crawfors headers have 25 inch tubes , I talked to doug C. when I ordered my plenum and he thinks 28 inch tubes are the best but they couldnt get them to fit. I seen some new ones out there for around $300 but cant remeber the name .But again ...what ever you go with , make sure they are equal length

Couldnt afford it when young...gonna play when Im old
Edited by booger on 02/11/04 04:38 PM.

stillen also makes long tube headers...
