Would that be a rose petal, or brake pedal?

I agree that it is stupid that we don't get a hand brake. I understand why though, it's so that we can have our side to side cup holders. The 6mt's have front and back cup holders. The 03 doesn't have one at all (at least on the coupe that I saw.)
Someone should develop a switch kit for the rear brakes
That way you could press a switch to lock the rear brakes and hit the corners hard

How many of you complainers have needed a hand brake? For all those 180s you need to perform when out running the cops? LOL

i just hope the poor little guy doesn't try using his 3rd pedal as a clutch.

Geez, the last car I had with a foot pedal brake was a 1980 Chrysler Lebaron. So I've always associated the foot brakes with big cushy American cars; I find it odd that the G would have the same thing.

Labaron = big and cushy??? I had an '86 Labaron Sedan and I wouldn't call it big and cushy. Heck it was smaller than the G. Was it that much different in 1980?

Why does an auto need a hand brake again? I don't understand the reasoning

It's all in the preference not need. My Jeep liberty 4at had a hand brake, so why not the G??? It's definately more sport oriented. That is why we all wonder why they choose to go this route. I personally feel it was for the cup holders.
