Can anybody tell me what the rear bumper on my 04 amt coupe is made of? The reason I ask is I was parked at a local post office and was hit by a soccer Mom driving a Honda Odyssey creating a dent below my rear light the size of a softball.

While waiting on her insurance company, I applied heat and placed a deflated soccer ball behind the dent and attached a pump. Well the dent popped right out. Pretty cool. The paint has held as well. Some type of plastic?

ABS is that hard stuff like black abs sewer piping...no?

 

Factory Front and Rear bumpers, and side skirts are urethane...

its urethane jason@riverside confirmed it. Would have been my second guess after ABS

 

make sure your impact bar was not damaged it doesnt take much for that bar to bend
