710 to painted and install Sideskirts?

i had my impul sideskirts sent to a body shop to paint, and its now ready to install, but they quote me 710 usd on it....so I told them i would stop by some other day ... is this a rip off??? i was thinking around 400-500.... i got the sides from Richie, so I guess the fitment shouldnt be too bad..

That's a bit high in my opinion. Are they doing a lot of work on it? Sounds like they can fabricate a new pair of skirts for you at that price. I paid $300 to paint and install my old Kenstyle skirts.

Seems like a lot... I remember getting my sides, bumper, and rear diffuser prepped and painted for under $1000.

sounds like you were asking to be ripped off, you didn't address any of the issues you should have talked to them beforehand about before dropping them off. $710 sounds right if they had to do alot of prep work

Guess it depends on how many cracks, etc what condition it was prior. A lot of your $$ went to prep labor hrs it seems. it does seem high.

Had a lip that was bad. 6 coats of primer with sanding to fill gouges and pits, 2 coats of paint and 2 of clear. Rush job on top of that (~1.5 days) $350 out the door uninstalled.

now double that amount of prep(2 sideskirts) add in install, and the price is about what you paid for a single piece

Yup thats way to high, even if their were some damage. In addition when they saw the addition work that had to be done they should of called you up to explain what had to be done & for how much....

i work in a body shop and everything looks fine to me except for the 10.7 hrs to repair cracks prime etc. i see they also had to repair the rocker moulding prior to installing the pieces and depending on how much work that was they shouldnt have charged you more than a couple hours to repair cracks and pits on mouldings. i would have asked how much time was charged for rocker moulding cus thats where most of your cost is.

yeah for just sideskirts it seems a little high. I got quoted $750 for SS, front lip, repair my rear bumber, and painting my emblems black! go figure!
