Key Hole Plugs?

Wouldn't it be great if someone made matching body-colored keyhole plugs for our cars?

I know it's a pretty small detail but it would just make our cars that 2% sleeker looking. and I like attention to detail.

Anyway, if you're not sure what I'm talking about, I am referring to some kinda cap or plug to cover the keyhole on our door handles. afterall, it's not like we ever use them. (especially when we get the remote window roll-up mod).

so how bout it? think somebody can make something like this?
I'll need a pair in Pearl White

No, they are made to pop out if you need to......

Re: Key Hole Plugs?

yes I've seen that before. you could say it's the same idea I guess.... but the holes themselves are different altogether..

wonder if they would make some to fit the keyhole?

Re: Key Hole Plugs?

This is a good Idea, as far as someone stealing them I dont think you would really have to worry. I mean how many people are really gonna notice and if htey do what purpose would the plugs serve them? Someone make em. Ill take a set of black ones. Or one black one whatever.

Re: Key Hole Plugs?

Mercedes dealers sell them, it's a black plastic piece that plusgs your keyhole, you can easily remove it with your nail. Wouldn't those work? You would just need to spray it the same color as your car.

Re: Key Hole Plugs?

when you drop the car off at the dealer and they use the key instead of the remote, be sure you dont get a bunch of scratches from them trying/missing and/or prying it out.

Re: Key Hole Plugs?

New to the forum, but joined to share an idea.

Why don't you just buy the passenger side door handle from Japan? (Wouldn't that be the driver side door handle in the states?) That way you wouldn't have to have a "plug" cover the key hole. You could always put a spare battery in the trunk for the key fob (incase your battery dies). Just use your key to open the trunk and you're set.

This was either a good idea or a brain fart. Not sure which
