All available dealer options?

Hi again,

Just did my taxes and I'm getting like $4K back. I have a G35C on order for delivery around the beginning of March, and now I'm considering adding a couple options on. Currently I'm getting the premium package, a clear bra, floor mats (wheee!), and that's it.

Is there a list of ALL of the available options that I can get from the dealer, or any things that you guys know of that the dealer can do but doesn't really advertise?

Thanks all!

Other than whats on the website: infiniti. I think it is up to each dealer what they provide in the way of after market mods. My best advice it to call around depending on where you live. Most dealers will do just about anything, so I don't think there is a real list.

Floor mats come standard with the car! Did you mean the winter mud/snow mats?

There are several official Infiniti "accessories", like a roof rack, etc. Check the Infiniti webpage for these.

The sales guy mentioned a trunk mat. =)

I'll check out the site.

What are your opinions on the colored splash guards? Do they get messed up easily? Do they look good? I would consider these if I get some good responses. Thanks all.

Never mind! It's under 'accessories'.

Just avoid stuff like "paint protectant" -- it's not even worth the $20 it would cost you to buy a bottle and do it yourself, much less the hundreds the dealer would charge.

Why not kick in another $900 and get the sport wheels/LSD pkg?

Re: All available dealer options?
I'm getting the 6MT, so it will come with the wheels/LSD.

I think I'm gonna get the Sat. radio, mud/snow mats, splash guards and cargo net! Then save some to see if I want to upgrade the stereo.

=)

Now to search around to see if Sirius or XM is the way to go...

Ummm...the cargo net is standard on the sedan. Is it not also on the coupe?

If it doesn't break the bank, I'd strongly recommend the Nav system. It does require the Premium Package as well, so between the two it adds $4250. It's a pretty good deal though; you get the sunroof, Bose audio (not that great although I haven't heard the standard system to compare), electrochromic rear view miror, homelink, dual zone climate control and auto on/off headlights along with the Nav. I think it's worth it. The nav system has come in VERY handy many many times in the 8 months I've owned my car.

XM now that they are commercial free and only $10 a month. Get the splash guards too; I wish I had gotten them and it only takes one badly thrown rock by your tires to scratch the paint (and this paint is thin!)

If they're charging more than $350 for the Sat, you're better off ordering the sat kit from somewhere like Grubbs for less than $300 and then installing it yourself. Very easy to do and lots of folks put the antenna on the inside rear deck rather than on the roof as the factory or many dealers do. That looks pretty ugly. I love my XM but if your keeping the car for many years you might consider Sirius which offers a lifetime subscription for a set fee.

Body side moldings are also available but that depends on your tastes.

Re: All available dealer options?
Just got off the phone with the dealer:

The cargo net is in fact standard. =)

He tells me that only 10% of the cars are made with the Nav system, and to find one will be hard. Maybe he's just saying that to make me pay the full $2000 if he 'miraculously' finds one?

Anyway - here will be my new ride once found:

6MT C, (DG, BS or DP)
Prem package (sunroof, BOSE, etc)
splash guards
trunk mat (standard) =)
cargo net (standard) =)
all weather floor mats
SAT radio (I think I'm going to go Sirius 'cuz I'm a rock/metal head guy and it seems they have more stations for this)
clear bra
Nav (if he can find one)

Woo hoo!

Then I have to decide after I listen to the BOSE for a while if I want to replace the speakers/amp. I think the power will be just fine since I'm upgrading from a Miata (although I must admit that's a fun/quick little car). If not, perhaps I can find a local tuner-guy to do the plenum and a CAI.
