Well, might as well I should mention it.

Today, I was driving back to work just like any other days. The road was good, not much traffics, so I was doing like 65 or 70km/h in a 50km/h zone. I always drive just little over the speed-limit like everyone else would. This has been my habbit for the last ten years of driving. I have been driving a Volvo 850 for the past ten years, and not a single speed ticket. After driving my G for two months, today I just have to break my record. As I say, I was doing like maybe 70km/h, suddently a cop pulled me over and told me I exceeded the road limit by driving approx 88km/h. I was gonna say "what da f^*K?" He gave me a $196 speeding fine. I am sure he was just eye-balling my speed, no laser gun, nothing.

Next time, I should say to him, "Sir, you know G35 looks faster even sitting still in the parking lot!!!!".. *sign*.. You guys all agree huh?? HAHA = )

Well, my question is, anyone here live in Vancouver? What are the margins to determine how much the fines gonna be?

I know exceeding:
10km - 19km is $135
~20km - ~29km is $169~~, approx?
30km - 39km? is $196 <---- Damn, $200, I can get a new air intake for that..!!

Welll, just an friendly advise to all the G owners out there, beware of cops, cuz your G just gonna be their first targets!!

that reminds me of a commercial that used to run. a cop walks up to a parked car, looks it over then starts writing a ticket. the owner comes over a little later and asks what he's getting a ticket for. the cop replies..... speeding.

get a lawyer and fight the ticket. lawyers love me now that ive gotten my hands on a fast car. the money you spend on a lawyer may be less than what the ticket costs and the insurance hike.

Hi Sexxay, THat's the Impul kit, the G in the photo is not my G. You actually have to replace the whole bumper, It's a aftermarket kit that immitates Mercedes Benz AMG's kit. You may find it looks familiar.. See above photo. The whole kit, front bmp + rear bmp + side skrts + add-on wing = $3,995 US.

Looks like you need to invest in an Escort 8500 x50.

Got 11 tickets in one year before I bought my escort. Fought all of them in court by myself.. you don't need a lawyer. Only got convicted of three. Bought my escort. Three years later.. no more tickets and no points on my record.

As far as insurance is concerned, I am the perfect angel of a driver.
