Should there be a recall on coupe seat padding?

Ive had my bottom seat foam replaced in both seats under warranty and after reading numerous posts as our cars get a little older, it seems that the foam breaks down to quickly and evetually causes tearing in the leather.

Does anyone else think that this is a common problem in our seats after only a couple years of use? Do you guys think it warrants a recall?

there's a tsb for a tear in the driver's seat. not sure if it is caused by the foam breaking down. maybe a tab or something

they do warranty it, like I said mine have both been replaced on my 03. It seems like a common problem from nissan but my last toyota never had that problem.

The foam bolster is definitely crap considering mine collapsed after 23,000 miles and my weight is 155Lbs. There is no way to be careful getting in and out considering the height of the side bolster. Another example of poor materials.

Speaking of seats Beebo did you ever get your seats clean? I recall a post
you made over a week ago about having dirty seats and I replied to only
clean them with leather cleaner followed by leather cream. Just getting in
and out of you car puts wear on the foam and leather. Other than not
driving your car there's not much you can do about this issue! I don't have
any problems with my seats except the leather is wearing.......normal.

There should be a recall for "many" things on the G35. I'm trying to get one for the suspension so they can install some camber kits for those that wants them. The rest can keep replacing their tires every 14k because "it's a sports car".

The BMW is one of the best handling cars around and we don't hear about their front tires feathering.

It's the choice of OEM tires Infiniti uses. Very low wear rating number on those with factory negative camber = premature feathering.

Back to seats...as long as they replace under warranty, there prob never be recall.
