Dealer destroyed my wheel lock key
Well as stated in the title, one of the plus factors of going to a sh!tty dealer is that they get to buy you new things all the time, but this time i feel kinda screwed. I cant find the box to my McGard wheel locks, so i was wondering is there a master key i can buy? Are my wheels permanently fixed to my car now that my dealership ruined my life? Thanks

Also since this is entirely my dealerships fault, any advice on how i should approach my dealer about it? thanks

you can contact mcgard and request another key, if you registered your locks with them when you purchased them. Or they will send you an imprint kit that you make a mold of the locks, send it back to them and they send you a new key. you can ask for two if you want. of course there is a few for this.

That very same thing happened to me with my McGard lock and key. The shop swore up and down that they didn't try to tighten the bolt with a pneumatic torque wrench, but I know they did. I went home and got my friend's key for his McGard, and it fit perfect. It seems like the key is made quite poorly and can fall apart easily as it is 2 pieces welded together. Nevermind the fact that my friend's key fit perfect (yikes!) I went out and bought Gorrilla Guard II locks and couldn't be happier. As for the shop, I never came back to them... lol.
