My passenger side leather seat where the seat wraps around your legs has caved in a little bit. I thought nothing of it and figured it's wear and tear from people sitting on it and pushing it down. But I realized after touching it that it's not creases in the leather. It's actually the foam underneath, that is not pushing itself back when people get off of it. Does anybody else have this problem? My driver seat is fine and you would figure that would be the seat with the wear and tear since I'm always in it. What do you guys think? Like I said, I never thought anything of it until recently when somebody else I know said he had this problem in his G and he was bringing it back to the dealer.

 

No problem here, but I have read on this forum that a few people had this problem. Take it to the dealer.

can we all complain to the dealer and get a recall for the leather seats with better quality leather?

i mean we DID pay alot more for the leather seats.

I don't get it... I've planted my big'ol a$$ in the seat for 13k miles, and I've had a passanger for probably a third of them, and my leather has held up perfectly. In fact, Gdup was just commenting on it.

This sounds dumb, but it really has a lot to do with pants. Jeans, low-cotton khakis, etc. tend to be VERY abbrasive and often jeans even leafe discoloration. I noticed this on my old car's light leather. The foam isn't an issue of the leather though, that's just a structural prob underneath [img]/w3timages/icons/crazy.gif[/img] I'd ask the dealer, "What do you intend to do about this?" Don't say, "Can you do anything about this?" as it lays the ground for a flat-out "No." Asking what they intend to do forces them to say "We intend do nothing" with a damned good excuse why, as they're justifying an action... and then you have semantical leverage.

I talked to my friend and he said Infiniti told him they won't replace anything. He complained and the dealership said an Infiniti Representative comes once a month and they will have him check it out. The Infiniti rep told him it's wear and tear and they won't replace it. That is total B.S. Anybody else have any thoughts?

 

Do they have a lot of used Gs on the lot? If so, check out the other Gs with some mileage on them, and point out that your particular G has suffered more, while enduring comparable wear and tear.
