Congrats on the purchase! Very good price, nice find. Only a desperate seller would sell for that or if you worked for a dealership and got one wholesale.

thanks guys. Yeah i live in NC and flew to chicago, thats how good of a deal it was. Not really planning on modding it much, maybe change out to the projector headliights, tint, newer tail lights, add bluetooth, change dash and guages to all white LEDs and do get the trim (gauges and dash)from 05+ and put it in (i know u guys said its not possible, however I have the technical knowledge to do it).... i'll keep you all updated.

I used to have a prelude and did a complete dash/LED change so if you guys have questions i'd love to do what i can to help.

the led lights were a joke to change for the prelude, yeah i did it on my prelude myself too, (the guages, climate control the clock everything even the radio) it was one of the easiest modes i ever did, just some soldering, finished in 20 mins,

but the lights are different on the g, guess you'll see for yourself

but it'll be cool if you did, you'd be smarter than EVERYONE on the g35driver forum

keep it posted

The lowest I've ever seen a coupe is 20k.
Take a look on Autotrader.com Lots of coupes on there for well under 20K.

I know the US dollar's cheap now and all but the market still suggests that any coupe under 50K miles for sale substantially under $20K either has undisclosed problems or some other issue. AT's average a few K cheaper than 6MTs, but 14K is still a ridiculously low price.

I could drive my '04 6MT coupe with 41K miles and a clean Carfax into any Infiniti dealership in my area and get at the very least $19K straight up if I were a "desperate seller."

Regardless, great find by the OP!

Yeah, your right about most of the coupes being less than perfect if you find one for under 20K, but sometimes you get lucky(as has happened here), or you find the right time to buy. Only just a month ago, I was looking at the autotrader.com in the U.S.(I live in Canada) and was finding a whole lot of G's for well under 20K. Mind you when the ones I saw were priced at 14K, they had salvage titles, but I found a lot of them around the 16-18K with clean carfaxes and reletively reasonable miles. But looking now, there are few that are under 20K. My guess is everybody tried to sell their G's before the fall and winter came but some where not able to, so they have now parked them for the winter instead taking a hit on selling low, and will wait till spring to try to sell again, or just keep them for the summer again.

Here in Canada, the Canadian dollar is pretty much at par with the U.S. dollar(it actually went higher than the U.S. dollar for a few days) but still, to find a G coupe here in Canada in decent shape, you're looking at 30K! For a 2003! Compare that to finding one in the U.S. and you'de be crazy to buy a used G up here in Canada. I havn't seen a G here for less than 28K. So come spring, I'll be picking one up from preferably a lower U.S. state. I'll just have a hard time finding what I'm looking for.....a 2003-04 coupe, white, black interior, 6MT, Brembo package, and no navigation. My car must meet these criteria with no exceptions.

Sorry for getting off topic here, really nice find!

^^^Wow G's are expensive in Canada... maybe I should drive mine over the border if I have to sell if the US dollar stays on par with the Canadian dollar.

I know what you mean about exact criteria... I wanted an '04 6MT DG coupe, black interior with under 40K miles, spoiler and no nav. Waited to purchase until I found just that.

It's not quite that easy for you to do. The vehicle must meet certain standards in order for it to be sold in Canada before it even crosses the border if the owner lives in the U.S. But if I were to buy one in the U.S. and bring it over, I have 30 days from the day of bringing it in for it to be brought up to the standards. For example, the vehicle must be fitted with daytime running lights(do the G's have this?) and on certain vehicles, the front bumper and suports have to be changed to Canadian spec bumpers and such as Canada has a higher slow-speed bumper crash test than the U.S. Some vehicles are not importable at all because they can't meet the Canadian criteria. The Mitsubishi lancer EVO for one can't be brought in as it has not been sold here because Mitsu doesn't want to spend the money on making the front bumper meet the standards(something about the intercooler being in the way), and therefore the bumper can't be modified to allow it to be brought in because there is no Canadian version of it(a few were sold in Canada though right when they came out because Transport Canada failed to realize that the EVO's were different than the regular lancer and consequently when the found out about the difference, they halted importation and sales of the EVO here. I know of one in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that the dealer owner brought in before they were banned.). I guess I should find out the exact details of what, if any, needs to be modified or added in order to import the G huh.
