I Broke my mirror where do I buy This replacement part (Pics Inside)

Hey guys a someone knocked my mirror off I think it was one of the kids outside. Anyways noting is broken but this black part is this something I can buy and replace or do I have to get the whole mirror. In any instance please let me know where I can order the replacement parts.

Unfortunately, your pic hostings seems to be blocked by filters here, but i'm assuming you mean the side mirror? If that's the case, then i know you can't get the black part by itself from the dealer. Had mine ripped off, and it broke the inner portions of the black piece.

Ordered from dealer and had to get the whole part. About $250 w/tax. Then another $120 or so to paint it.

Just out of curiosity, since it's sold as a whole unit - has anyone tried swapping the old mirror housing so that it wouldn't have to be repainted? Can the mirror and base be taken apart?

Yes. There's three phillips head screws that hold it to the base. I would have done that but my inner casing was cracked anyways Just be sure to do this OFF the car. If you don't, you'll need a right angled phillips to get over the curve in the door, and it's pretty tight.

Thanks for the plug guys!

Unfortunately the black part is not available separate when purchasing the mirrors new... they also do not come painted
