Coupe stock dyno.

I cant find any stock coupe SAE dyno here .

I wish this site would be more organized and dedicated a separate section to have sedan and coupe members posting theirs both stock and modded dynos.

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

The infrastructure's there-- we just haven't had the need to create the forum since no one's offering the #s; it'd be an empty forum. It's up to the members to organize themselves and get the #s. I've been here for 8 months and have yet to see em...

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

Take yours and have it dyno'ed. That will be your base line. You really cant compare any one elses dyno .All dyno's are different .I have seen people post...from 190whp to 260whp on a stock car.I know they didnt come from the facory with that much of a different HP

Couldnt afford it when young...gonna play when Im old

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

Thats wrong GeoBau.
Im pretty sure people will fill them out that what this subject is for. I've managed to find gurgenpb (sedan) and madisonmc (coupe) but it took me like 40 minutes. Thats bad. If I go Maxima.org its soo much easier to find where they organized dynos and 1/4 miles times.

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

Booger,
I'm going to sometime in spring, however I was trying to see what people pushing with 5AT coupe. 190-260 sounds crazy and should be around from 218 (5AT) to 230 (6MT) max

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

If I'm not incorrect, I believe that maxima.org's 30,000 members asked for a section because they had many scattered dyno results. Hence, the forum was created based on demand. We currently have no physical demand, as everyone keeps passing the buck and telling their neighbor to run the dyno instead.

I have no problem having people post 1/4M times, etc. in a specified forum, but we tend to get one track result a week at best.

Sorry you think my opinion is just plain wrong. I'll make sure I make mental note of it.

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

GeoBau,
I understand your point regarding no demand, however strongly believe it would be very benefitial for current and future members. I dont know can you create a poll and see how many votes we get?

Best regards.

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

That's the easy part We can create a poll and see who'll contribute-- good idea.

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

There are a few dyno numbers out there, but the search on this forum sucks.

Check my post on the other thread about $4000 back for a coupe or something like that.

My coupe (AT, 18s, Z-tube)
219.7 HP, 228.4 torque

Another member's coupe (AT, 17s, Z-tube, popcharger)
236 HP, 232 torque

A stock 6MT from that day on the same dyno
231 HP or so

A stock appearing 350z 6mt
222 HP

A bunch of modded 350z with mods, exhaust, etc
240s HP

These were all on the same dyno.

I've also seen a stock 350z AT dyno 214 HP.

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

Thanks E_K

With GeoBau assistance (see Poll), we are hopefully will be getting a separate DYNO forum where both coupe and sedan members can post their dynos.

Come on people, vote for it!

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

you mean varient? of course, those are normal variences that occur with all machinery...

there are many, many factors that cause this, such as how well the piston rings are seated, propper engine-break-in, also not all gasoline is the same, maybe someone was running a higher quality gasoline (like from a more reputable gas company), and many more reasons

Re: Coupe stock dyno.

Ok...To show how different dyno's can be. I dynoed my car on a mustang dyno. AT5...224whp..with..stillen air box,Z tube, crawford plenum.BRM headers,Rt cats, stillen true duel exhaust, and reflashed ECU. I never did a base line .I did see that some guy got [on a mustang] 190whp stock .So I would guess that was my base line or some where in that line. The dyno operator told me that my 224whp would come out on a Dynojet at around 250whp to 255whp .He has been working with mustangs for years and said dyno's can be fudged to give high # if you want them . I talked to another shop that has a mustang and he told me he has his set up to give numbers more like a dynojet. So all dyno,s are different and all operators are different. Its only going to a tool for you to see how your car has improved with added mods
