Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has noticed a clicking/popping noise from underneath the car? It's the same type of sound the car makes when you turn on your A/C ONLY a bit louder. It seems to be coming from one of the mid pipes, possibly the cat but more towards the passenger side. I noticed it only makes the clicking sound when the car is in idle. it stops clicking when you start moving. It continues to make the same noise even after your stop the engine for about a minute. I don't know if it's serious or just the cold weather but I've never heard this kind of clicking before ever. I did a search on clicking noises others have experienced but no one seems to have encountered this type yet. Thanks for any feedback.

 

I heard there were sometimes clicking noises from the ABS performing self-checks on each wheel.... but they only occur when the car is started. Don't quote me on this....

Had the same problem. Take it down to the dealer, prove to them you have the problem, and they will fix it for you. I forgot what he said, but I believe it had something to do with the transmission. It is a quick fix, atleast it was for me. Just show them the problem and you'll be fine

Just got my car back for the same thing it had to do with the torque something or an other that I've never heard of and can't remember. The service writer said it needed to be greased. He asked "Have you been in for this before?" SO I assume its common. The noise is gone now.
