what to use??

i just received my AP racing bbk from a member on my350z.. it is in good condition, except it is kind of dirty.. what is safe to use to clean the rotor and the brake calipers??

treat the calipers like any other painted surface. Use a light cleaner wax or even clay bar them. Follow up with a quality sythetic wax, meguire's NXT etc. You can sand the rotors very lightly as brembo reccomneds even though they are not (check on with brembo, Im not sure of grit/amount etc.) or see if you can turn them at your local pep boys or performance shop. Most high end rotors arent recommended to be turned

hmm i see.. i cant just use like 409 and clean it??

The good old recommended mild soap and warm water and elbow grease. Don't leave anything to chance, just clean them well before you throw them on.
