I'm wondering if anyone has changed their order once it is placed? I ordered early this month on the day that the dealers put in their orders. If I were to call my salesman and wanted something different, would it be a big hassle? I can't see how they couldn't sell the car that I put on order and just order me another one. The only drawback on my part is that it would take longer to get my car.

Any thoughts?

I do know that once an order is placed into production through allocation, you can not change the specs of that car. The dealer would have to trade around. Do you have an order number?

i asked my dealer if i could change once the order has been placed. he smuggly told me that if i wanted to change then he'd have to start another order but not worry b/c he could sell my original order to someone else, the day if came in. it's a hot car and everyone wants to get their hands on it.

 

I did ... it was a new order essentially and not a problem.
They'll sell the other no problem..
and you'll get the armrest now ... which they say I will .. but who KNOWS???
