Void Warranty?

I recently purchased a cold air intake, Nismo part # 16576-RNZ36 to be exact. The warning on the second page of instructions states that installing this system may void my vehicle (06 G-Coup) or other Nissan warranty coverage. This seem strange since it appears to be a genuine Nissan part. It also goes on to state that this device is intended for off-highway use only. Is this just a disclaimer? Has anyone had their warranty cancelled after installing this part?

If you ever have engine issues or idle issues-just take it off before you bring it in. You should not have issues anyway. Just use VERY little oil on the filter & if you really want to play it safe buy a dry filter.

They put that there so that if it does then they are not liable. I t would only void your warentee if the problem stems from the modification. Like if you sucked up water through the CAI.

dont worry about it, whenever you take your car to the dealer just remove the cai and put back on your stock air box just to be safe...
